Negative Receipts in inventory ledger
Has anyone else seen negative receipts in the inventory ledger after a shipment is completely received?
I sent 200 units of product X that were marked as received on 10/16/2023. On 10/21/2023, there is a negative receipt of 50 units. I believe this means that the units were received, but transferred to a different fulfillment center? After months of dealing with seller support, the final answer is they are claiming the units were never received. I received a reimbursement for 25 of the units. They eventually found 1 unit. and the remaining 24 units they said, "I'm happy to inform you that, we've received another shipment FBA123456... from you that included 24 of PRODUCT Y (a completely different product). We believe these unexpected items account for those that you reported missing."
Given the weights and dimensions of the boxes, the full 200 units for shipment X were there, and there couldn't have been extra units of product Y in the other shipment they referred me to. Complete insanity...

Hi @Seller_XVHKA9Lhlz0yb,
Thank you for reaching out about this, I'd be happy to take a further look into this situation!
Just to confirm, is case 14687126181 your case regarding this situation? If you have any additional case IDs for this, can you please send those over to me?
Thanks again,
Jameson

Yes this is a constant issue - negative receipts, and Seller Support can't seem to read and/or understand their own ledgers. Happens a lot when you have FBA inventory received as 0 in a box. You'll actually see the receipt in the ledger, then a negative amount later on. There are many, many, many threads on it. It's very difficult to get reimbursed because Seller Support pays no attention to the ledger, even if you highlight it for them. They will just say "There was an investigation and it confirmed there were 0 units in the case", which is a complete lie. It's incredibly frustrating when this happens.

This happens to us a LOT. Just stay on the case sending in screen shots of the inventory ledger showing where it was removed at other facilities. The shipment ID gets tagged onto the loss/transfer and then it flags it against the shipment. Watch out, it will do it on shipments closed MONTHS ago (one was over 6 months prior)
After about 2-3 pages of sending it back you will get someone who actually looks at it and get it resolved. It unfortunately takes constantly sending it back on repeat until someone actually reads the message.
