3rd party buyer

Dear All

I have a customer called who does 3rd party ordering and keeps coming back to say the item has not been received and demanding a refund. We wrote to the buyer of the last one but did not respond and so had to issue the refund when he escalated the claim. These are orders fulfilled in October. Fortunately, we tracked the latest item that he is claiming on today and Royal Mail website states it was collected at the Post Office and signed for by the recepient. We are a small company and cannot afford to be losing money to this person. What can we do?

Personally we have also had this and had to take the hit. When we received further orders we cancelled and refunded these. They ordered twice more and then stopped when they realised we were no longer interested in there “custom”. Sorry to hear this.

use the name and address for the delivery and find a phone number, social media etc to track them down. Actually speak to the person the item was sent to! chances are they have no idea what has happened.
We did this to loads of ‘dropship’ customers last year and they very soon stopped ordering when they realised they had been rumbled.

Hi. Exactly the same MO. Wait 2 months, claim INR and then A-Z. This happened 7 times in one week and we defended each case. We won 6 out of the 7. To illustrate the variance of Amazon’s decision making, 4 were totally refused, 2 were funded by Amazon and 1 we had to fund.

Hi can you tell me how you work it out that they are dropshipers?

I had this last week. Thankfully the recipient is more than happy to help me get the A to Z overturned. I have already reported this to Action Fraud. Please watch for the buyer “Nor”, it would appear they are a drop shipper. They placed another order with me the day the A to Z was granted to a completely different recipient to the first but I didn’t notice until it was too late so I am now waiting for another A to Z in 6-8 weeks time.
