Return request - no response from customer

Hi, I’m a new seller looking for some advice please. I received a return request which I immediately replied to asking for more information from the customer as the reason was ‘incompatible or not useful for intended purpose’
That was nearly two weeks ago and I’ve had no response from the customer. I’m not sure what to do, do I chase them up or do I need to authorise the request even though I don’t know what the issue is. The item is a set of 3 glass bottles. As I’m a new seller, I don’t want to get on the wrong side of Amazon.

Thank you in advance for any help

You need to accept the return before Amazon refund the buyer and let them keep the goods.

Buyers can return goods without having to explain themselves. It sounds like they should be paying for the return if correctly described and fit for purpose.

On Amazon, you are required to either accept or reject all return requests without delays, ideally within no more than 48 hours, otherwise the buyer might be able to open an A-Z claim.

The mandatory return period is 30 days past the last day of each order’s EDD range.

Buyers aren’t required to respond to your messages and you can’t make this a condition of authorising their request.
