Commercial invoice template - sending first FBA shipment to Germany since Brexit
Hi there,
Anyone got a template commercial invoice for sending a shipment to an FC in the EU from the UK? I’ve checked online and the templates I’ve seen to have “Sold To” boxes which don’t apply to Amazon shipments.
Any help greatly appreciated!

We put the ship to and sold to as Ourselves c/o Amazon plus our DE EORI.

I found this UPS template https://www.ups.com/assets/resources/media/en_GB/invoice_1.pdf but just unsure what goes where for the following:
- SHIP TO - obviously this is Amazon, but it’s asking for the Tax ID - is it my UK or EU EORI?
- SOLD TO - is this my details - i’m not “selling” to Amazon. Again, which Tax ID - my UK or EU EORI?

Try this one from DPD > https://www.dpd.co.uk/pdf/invoicetemplate_ROW.pdf.
Ship from VAT will be your company’s VAT/EORI number.
Ship/sold to will be Amazon VAT/EORI number.

i’m not sure that’s right on the “sold to” - you’re not selling them to amazon, they are just storing them for you. i stand to be corrected, but i’m sure this is the case

Yeah don’t put Amazon as the buyer as this isn’t correct and will probably result in the shipment being returned. For customs purposes you are selling them to yourself in another country c/o Amazon.

thanks @gerryg do you know the answer to my first questions? i assume “ship to” is amazon, “sold to” is me. but what about the vat IDs?

Did you leave the Waybill Number field blank? And did you have to contact UPS regarding payment of tax?

Yes I think we left that blank, we just supplied our UPS account number.

@gerryg Can I ask how to find your UPS account number?
We only ship via Partner Carried Programme, so we only use the UPS account to book collections. I can’t find an account number anywhere.

You may not have the correct account but if you try and book a shipment you should see your UPS account number.
