regarding product certifications

Hello Senior members,

I am interested in selling baby feeding products in Amazon UK marketplace like plates, cups and spoons. Can anyone please tell me what certifications i should request from the manufacturer from China to provide me which will be acceptable for selling on Amazon.

Cannot advise as not my category, but there are very strict criteria for all baby products, and it is a gated category, I believe, so you will need to get permission.

Maybe check out Amazon's guidelines for selling in the category, if you are a new seller.

You do realise that it is an absolutely saturated market ? - just look at the hundreds/thousands of those sort of products on Amazon. Just doing a search for baby spoons there are over 10,000 results, and over 20,000 each for cups and plates !!

You will need certificates of conformity - CE and UKCA marks - you need both as UKCA covers Great Britain, but you also need CE as you are required to send goods to Northern Ireland.

This is a very strict category, they will ask for additional certification from time to time, including lab safety reports, you will need to make sure you have all of these available at the drop of a hat.

Very important you have liability insurance to sell in this category as well, and ensure you diligently check out any suppliers.

Make sure you use an approved testing lab if Chinese manufacturers/suppliers are unable to provide the correct compliance certification.

Cannot advise as not my category, but there are very strict criteria for all baby products, and it is a gated category, I believe, so you will need to get permission.

Maybe check out Amazon's guidelines for selling in the category, if you are a new seller.

You do realise that it is an absolutely saturated market ? - just look at the hundreds/thousands of those sort of products on Amazon. Just doing a search for baby spoons there are over 10,000 results, and over 20,000 each for cups and plates !!
