Purchasing inventory
Hi, I’m a new Amazon seller and started just a few months ago. I wanted to ask if you follow a specific schedule for purchasing inventory—do you typically restock daily, weekly, or monthly?
Right now, I order inventory on a monthly basis. However, due to supplier shipping times, prepping, and Amazon’s receiving process, my products usually become active on the store about a month after I place the order. By the time my listings go live, the selling price often starts to drop as more sellers enter the market.
I’m trying to figure out the best strategy for buying inventory to stay competitive and avoid delays. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hello @Seller_EDBEkvsotsAlM
My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I can assist with one half of your restocking optimization. If you are utilizing FBA, you can use the FBA Restock Tool. How to access, overview and customization inputs are covered in the What is the FBA Restock Tool? Seller University video.
I hope this helps a little and I am definitely curious to see what other advice other Sellers can provide that has worked for them!
Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.
best, Dougal
