I’d like to send products to an Amazon warehouse (FBA). We sell bottled spring water (own brand) in different sizes and plan to first send packs of 24 x 500ml bottles on a pallet. We understand the unit, labelling and pallet label requirements, but I’m a bit unsure about the rule stating that liquids must be “double sealed.”
I understand this requirement is usually for products like perfumes, foundation or shampoos. However, as someone who has ordered bottled water myself (e.g. Voss, Icelandic, Evian, etc.), I’ve never received bottles with a double seal — only the standard cap.
So my question is: are bottled water products sold in shrink-wrapped multipacks exempt from the double-seal requirement for liquids?
I’ve tried contacting Seller Support several times, but each time they’ve just directed me to the same resource link on Amazon, which doesn’t clarify the situation. Our packs are standard cap (sport and screw cap) in shrink wrap, just like those sold in supermarkets.
Would the FBA warehouse refuse the pallet if the bottles are not double sealed individually?
