Policy violation warning
Hi
We’ve been selling on a professional account for over a year on the platform and, just today, we’ve randomly received a policy violation warning for “Customer review policy violation”.
We have no idea where this has come from - we’ve never asked employees, friends or family members to purchase and/or review our products. We don’t need to, there are plenty of customers already doing that anyway.
We’ve asked Amazon to provide us with the evidence they have used as the basis of the warning. Has anyone ever been successful with dealing with them over a scenario like ours?
We manufacture the goods we sell on the platform (and the brand is registered with Amazon etc etc) but we work with well-known UK distributors and retailers who also sell on the platform. We’ve had instances where one of those retailers has vandalised our listings and product info because they don’t like that we’re on here selling our own goods direct to consumer. Is it possible for another merchant/seller to lodge a (vexatious) complaint with Amazon that could have resulted in this?

Hello Tappers_Gin,
Thanks for reaching out. I understand you are concerned about the “at risk” alert on your account health dashboard.
You will receive this notification if there is any suspicious activity identified to manipulate reviews. If you haven’t done anything that violates the policy, you can rest assured.
However, would request you to review the policy here and make sure to abide by it.
The “at risk” alert will go away in few days as it is automated and we cannot make any changes to it manually.
Best regards,
Amar.

I have the same issue. Received a policy violation warning which has put my account “at risk”. It states that “Addressing your policy violations in a timely manner will prevent unnecessary disruption to your selling account.” but there is no option to address anything?
The violation seems to be for " Misuse of product ratings, feedback, and reviews" but I have not asked for any reviews, feedback or ratings. I don’t use any third party software for feedback either.
I have read through the Amazon seller policies again and I’m not sure of any reason why I would have got this message?
I asked seller central and just got back an email stating “Let me inform you that to avoid further actions please follow Selling Policies and Seller Code of Conduct.”

Hello @Tappers_Gin,
Thank you for contacting us. I understand you are concerned about the “at risk” alert on your account health dashboard due to the “Customer review policy violation”.
Please be aware that your account will continue being at risk of deactivation if the situation is not resolved. You are responsible for any action on your Amazon account, and if Amazon has detected a possible violation, you will need to proactively act.
Is it possible for another merchant/seller to lodge a (vexatious) complaint with Amazon that could have resulted in this?
Amazon respects the intellectual property rights of others. Nevertheless, why do you believe that another merchant has left a negative feedback? Do you have any evidence that another seller has left a feedback on your account?
