Every item we have for sale with the word "sex" in the title has been removed as prohibited
My email blew up with prohibited items today. They all have the word "sex" in the title. These are not adult sex toys! They are things like the TV program Sex and the City, a DVD for Sex and the Single Girl. What is going on?

Amazon did this with the word "chocolate" before. They made products that had the word chocolate in it a "meltable". This included chocolate flavored, and chocolate sauce. They never fixed it and I had to stop selling these items during summer months.

For some reason, it hasn't happened to everyone yet.
I haven't received any emails about this.
I just checked my listings. I have a handful of books with the forbidden word in them, everything from a book on positions, to a book on prosecuting that particular type of offender.
Maybe it is because I have lots of ex-library books that I describe as having been withdrawn.

I have had 2 DVDs with "sex" in the title from 4/4 show up as restricted policy violations. Sex and the Single Girl and Love & Sex (Jon Favreau from the 90s). What is amazing is both films are available to rent or buy as digital on Amazon Prime. Opened cases and waiting for response.

Hello @Seller_iu1nTPby1L4jy @Seller_RXAaMBHfM67Ui @Seller_TZKEXpYtDA1xL and all other sellers reporting that they had DVDs removed.
The partner team requested a list of affected ASINs to review. Please list the ASINs that you had removed and which you believe were incorrectly flagged. I will share that list and those titles/listings will be investigated.
If you prefer not to post the ASINs in the thread, you can open a case with those ASINs listed, and share the Case ID here.

This just proves that selling on Amazon has become a zero-sum game. The only winner is Amazon.

Bots programmed by sexually repressed over zealous persons of a certain religion I bet!

They aren't doing it with just the word "Sex". A.I. is picking up on everything. I make and sell dog collars on Amazon and some of my listings were suspended for the words "Tulip", "Cutest apple in the Orchard", and "Don't Tread on Me." They told me that they were suspended for trademark violation. So how do you sell any Tulip item without being able to use the word tulip? Apparently, there is a company out there with the trademark of Tulip. They sell cleaning products. Obviously, if a human saw this listing instead of A.I., it wouldn't have been suspended. They told me to edit the listings and I did that but it isn't changing the listing on Amazon marketplace, only changed in my inventory. So they deactivated my whole account. I haven't been able to talk with a human to be able to resolve the problem. I just keep getting the same computer message to edit the listing.

JMO but the new AI program Amazon is using will have to learn. Problem is, it is going to be a bumpy road for all for the next 12-18 months. I have been targeted for various ASIN as well and so has my sister. You just have to deal with it and call Amazon CS and pray you get someone who knows what to do. If you have to, call again and again. Also, call on Saturday mornign before 10am. I seem to get somoen in the USA at a higher ability vs calling on weekdays.

Amazon has the worst programers and robots scrubbing merchandise titles. I sell products for Southern Methodist University and because the mascot is a mustang and because some of the products are in the automotive category, Amazon removed some of them due to Ford and their trademark on Mustang. The last time they did this, Amazon said that I had to get approval from Mustang. I asked which Mustang. Ford Mustang? Mustang Bunny Ranch? Southern Methodist University Mustangs? Due to these decisions seemingly being made by foreigners, I never could get a straight answer to my question and the product was deleted. It gets really old wasting time due to Amazon's mistakes and poor performance in this matter. No one at Amazon gives any consideration to how this might impact product listings that should not be affected but are.
