FBM Shipping

Hi,

I'm looking to switch from FBA to FBM in 2025 and just wondering if anyone can give me tips/thoughts on shipping.

Would you recommend using Amazon buy shipping or just use Royal Mail click & Drop? Just looking at working out some estimates for shipping costs etc. Sizes of the products I will be shipping will fit either large letter or small parcel.

Also is it probably advisable to send everything by tracked 48 presumably?

Thanks

Tracked 48 for us is perfectly suitable.

We don't use Buy Shipping personally - though we use integration software to update all shipping which pulls the data from our own system.

Tracked 48 though, our VTR rate sits at over 99% and we rarely get any claims of lost parcels. When we used RM 48 - we did get a decent percentage of claims of non delivery.

For small parcels, I use C&D for Tracked 24 & 48 and let C&D enter tracking codes. Manifest via C&D.

For Large Letters, I buy shipping from Amazon and send with RM48 only. Manifest via Order Reports.

Works well.

I comes down to what you are sending and the quantity you will send... the best bet it to contact the likes of royal mails discuss quality and sizes etc, they will give an offer on price, you can then compare this to other options

for us its easier and cheaper going trough Royal Mail and click and drop

We use DPD for UK and Royal Mail for International and more obscure post codes via Click & Drop.

Would not recommend sending anything untracked.

DPD are usually almost problem free, but if RM collect and fail to scan, they are now denying that package existed and we currently have cases outstanding.
