Missing Items and Shipments
I'm not sure what to think of this, Amazon lately has been making me reconsider selling due to the constant losses of product during shipments arriving at their facility. In December last year I had an entire shipment get delivered and go missing and the investigation wasn't even done because I couldn't provide proof of manufacturer's invoice or something like that, but they are just books from Goodwill, there is no manufacturer that exists. Sadly, I have another shipment that is stuck in delivery status and multiple shipments that arrived have less items checked in than what was shipped. How convenient that they are the most expensive ones listed.
I'm not the one to throw out conspiracies like this, but it's alarming that there are four or five different events in the last month like this. Does anyone else have this experience lately? I know I'm screwed out of it and I'm sure Amazon knows they can get away with stuff like this.

Welcome to Amazon.
A lot of misconceptions with selling on this platform is the assumption that you don't need a lot of capital to begin your ventures here. That's false, you need a lot of capital & you shouldn't expect to make money initially. Things will happen, returns will occur, fees will hit.
Still an amazing platform with a huge user base, but it comes with a price.

I have been doing FBA for the last 6 months, out of 15 or so shipments, 1 was lost (closed with 0 units received), took months and a half for it to be elligible for investigation. About 1 in 5 shipments take an unreasonably long time to check in after delivered, 2-4 weeks.
Another shipment they have counted the units wrong, 1 shows 0 of 2 received, another shows 1 expected 3 received. They counted a new unit into a different SKU for a used item. Trying to sort that out right now.

I had a shipment of used books be not checked in for weeks. Then when it did, Amazon counted 11-20 units as missing. Come on! And they happened to include some 100 dollar books. Not going to even try to provide "Proof of ownership" they want to investigate it.....Here's my thrift store reciept. lol. How about just tell me why I sent a 49 lb box and Amazon checks in 26 lbs worth of books? They have to be stealing them. Workers at the docks in the know about their bots for Customer Service....and know the dumb policy about proof of ownership? Its bull!

This happens so often to me, I can't keep track any more. I have shipments now with 116 items of 130 missing across 3 shipments. One shipments says there did not get anything. I use their process, pay extra money now that they charge when shipping in items and the still "lose" them. They ask for information that we can't provide. I screen print shirts, so I will never have packing slips with items that match the item I sell. I order blank shirts and ink and I sell graphic tee shirts, so every claim I submit they reject because I don't have proper supporting documentation. I stop sending expensive items and fil them myself, this impact sales. Now they charge me fees when I don't have items in FBA, well you lost them and I'm not going to send any more for you to lose more and now I cover your losses and pay a fee on top of it. I'm just screaming into the void I know.

Good morning,
Is this shipment eligible for investigation? If so, let me know the case number for Seller Support case you've opened and I will be happy to investigate, and determine how best I can support!
