Fair storage limits & unfair restock limits
We have a decent amount of storage space and ridiculous restock limit.
We always send even lower stock quantities than Amazon recommends so how does this make sense?
Are Amazon actually trying to reduce our sales?? We can send nothing now and sales will only reduce with metrics taking a hit also!

We have just had this slapped on us too, despite having had emails back in February saying that we wouldn’t be subject to limits for the 1/4 we are in now.
If it has suddenly happened to many, then it hopefully is just a glitch. It is odd, how I could make a replenishment order yesterday, and then today suddenly I over my limit by 5000 units.
Go figure??
Ive raised a ticket, hopefully that will shed some light if I can actually have a person ready my query.

In the same boat. Our limit is currently set at just 12% above our average monthly sale figure. This will severely damage our business. Raised a ticket with Amazon to request an increase…

My restock limits dropped from 3400 to 1300, after I had sent stock within the 3400 restock limits. Now my stock is sitting in cages in UPS depots not being sent to Amazon to go out for sale.
I don’t understand the rationale for restock limits when there is so much space allowed for storage.
If anyone could explain it, i’d be very grateful.

Well…
We have dedicated Amazon managers working with us and discussed issue in details as having the same issue with 4500 units suddenly below the restock limit.
So the restock limits are to stay. It is not going away after the Prime day. It is something that has been tested at some marketplaces and rolled out across the globe.
So unfortunately we had to digest and adjust.
The restock limits can grow as well as drop based on past and current sales apparently too.

YES, that is really ridiculous. But we can’t do anything now. U can’t restock even you are bestseller. I just think this change is useless. Nothing help.

on 5.18, I can see that we have the max level of 20 thousand, on 5.20 only 10 thousand left
we are unable to ship any goods now!
and the support team reply with the Amazon news of 5.18 (https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/gp/headlines.html?id=GKUCKH3T6RPKGR3K&ref=nslp_at_4_GKUCKH3T6RPKGR3K_en-GB_ttl_rf_recent_news_5)
Restock limits
Effective May 16, 2021, we have decreased restock limits so that your products can be received as quickly as possible. This change does not affect customer delivery. On average, sellers can restock 2 to 3 months of inventory in our fulfilment centres. We’ve already taken similar steps for our own retail products.

Great. I just came to send inventory in because stock is getting low and I can’t. My IPI is 572 and one of the main things effecting it is the in-stock inventory rate. So now I’m going to go out of stock even more and a negative feedback loop will reduce my IPI even further.

Completely agree. Our ridiculous restock limits are causing serious consideration to getting out of the game

This is particular difficult to manage for the Small and Light programme, which requires a minimum shipment of 24 units to even get stock into the fulfilment centres. We are in the same boat with ‘unlimited’ space but a punitive restock limit. Seeing as small and light products take up very little space (the clue is in the title), this seems very badly thought out.
