Bought amazon label for order, delivered to VACANT address, lost a-z claim MOD Help please

Item sold, bought label through amazon and shipped. A MONTH later buyer contacts and states not delivered. But item is not returned to me. How can I lose an A-Z case when buyer and amazon provides wrong label information? Is it not buyer's and amazon responsibility to make sure address is correct? I can not file a insurance claim because address is now missing from order page, nor can I conduct a search to try to retrieve parcel. I lost an a-z appeal and I have to pay for amazon and buyer's bad address. Oh and you can not file a safety claim either.

Thank you for your time in advance.

That's not delivered.... that is a return to sender.

Amazon policy is you will lose this AtoZ (but no impact to your ODR) but the funds will be taken from you as it wasn't completed. The product will come back once the carrier completes the return to sender, which could be as little as a few days or months later unfortunately.

If you go into the order and hit "reprint label", you may be able to get the shipping address that way.

We're in a similar situation. Two buyers filed A-Z claims on orders which they ordered incorrectly, and Amazon immediately granted them the claims. Now the buyers don't want to send the products back, and refuse to respond to us. Amazon won't let us appeal and refuses to help. We're out over $2k now because of them. Amazon encourages scamming. It's maddening.

If it didn't come back to you call the receiving post office and ask what happened to it.

You should have the tracking number showing in the order if you used amazon shipping. You can take this tracking number to your Post Office, and if you ask them in person they will have all of the information for the package. They will be able to provide more information about the package, including the status of the return. Once you have this information, you can proceed with the online claim with USPS.

Hello @Seller_rj9tQoKHjUvRu- and thanks for starting this discussion here on the forums. I am glad to see the community was able to offer some helpful input.

I did want to make sure you had this help page on A-to-z Claims handy which does advise:

"Tracking shows that the package is returning to you: If the tracking shows that the item was undeliverable to the customer or refused, and we receive tracking information indicating that the package is returning to you, we will automatically refund the customer and debit your account for the claim amount. It does not impact your account health or order defect rate (ODR)."

In looking at the claim details, it appears this is how the claim was processed, with the refund to the customer applied, but your ODR metric not impacted.

Hopefully the guidance in this thread did help you navigate any next steps on the package with the carrier. If a certain response did help you resolve this, please consider marking it as the 'Most helpful' reply!

Best,

Danny
