Account suspended starling bank account
Hey guys.
Is anyone banking with starling as their main account for Amazon?
Starling has an internal issue this morning in which the bank cards were not showing correctly in their app.
I’ve now received a message from starling showing it’s all fixed but during this time, Amazon said they can’t verify the card
The card works fine in shops and for only purchases.
I’ve used this card on seller central for a year and transferred £100000+ on it without problems but now I’m suspended because they can’t verify it.
Anyone having the same issue? How am I fixing this?
Amazon as usual are useless and are telling all about how important I am to them.

It is used if you have a negative balance on your account at any point.
For example if you have no sales but 2 refunds you will have a negative balance and this needs to be repaid. Also if you spend more on advertising than you receive in sales this can create a negative balance.
Obviously sellers should not aim to have a negative balance but when they do Amazon have the charge method to make sure they can take the money from sellers accounts.

Hi there.
Not really no. Amazon are saying that I need a credit card not a debit card.
My disbursments are going to a mastercard debit card linked to my business account. Am I supposed to apply for a credit card for my business before I can get paid again? I was getting paid into a debit card for the last 2.5 years.
This doesnt seem right as when I try to add any other debit card, it works fine and disbursments are paid just fine. The requirment for a credit card just seems wrong for any business.
It seems this info was false and the issue with the starling mastercard debit is not due to it being a debit card but an issue with amazon attempting to verify it. When I try to verify, amazon doesnt even attempt it anymore. it’s an immediate NO.
I need the verifiation reset and done properly as the card works completely fine.

Disbursements are paid into a bank account not a debit/credit card.
If Amazon are not accepting your starling debit card then you will need to supply a credit card I’m afraid- they are asking for this more frequently now.

Do you know what the charge method is used for? All my advertising bills come from the bank account and not the charge method. My monthly subscription comes from the Amazon account.

Sorry i should have updated.
The account is fine now. Just changed the bank card and it was fine. I still can’t verify the original debit card but since found out that the credit card is needed.
