UK freight costs?

Hi all, hope well.

I’ve seen tremendous continual rises in UPS freight costs of late and I can ignore it. With signed/ tracked delivery I’m paying around £12-15 per standard box. Which couriers are you guys preferring and at what rates? I’m sending around 40-50 units per month on average.

Thanks

That’s high. Do you have an account with them? We’re with DPD and Parcelforce. DPD is £5.45 first box and £3.50 per box after in a consignment up to 30kg. We probably do around 150 boxes a week plus all our small stuff too.

Thanks. I think the volumes may be an issue. UPS have consistently dropped their standards whilst raising prices. We shipped a high value item that they first of all misrouted and then it arrived in pieces. They refused to offer additional compensation even though the item could have only been destroyed in their possession and wouldn’t even go as far as to offer the basic compensation! They refused all liability even though it was undeniably their fault. It lovely to see their weekly marketing posts about how well they are doing and recording decent profits! Not rubbing it in at all!
