A-Z Claims change of policy?

Have I missed a new policy regarding a-z claims?

I have had three a-z claims granted in the past week without any contact from amazon CS or the customer. They have all been posted on time via amazons buy shipping and arrived on time (without signatures) but I wasn't given any opportunity to resolve the problems myself.

I've been going through amazons a-z policies and can't see anything new.

Is it really that easy to get free stuff from amazon sellers now?

Hello @Seller_mFUCwL9EwZc6Y!

Thanks for reaching out.

If you have already appealed those claims and they got rejected - please share the order IDs with me.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

We’ve had the exact same issue, we appealed but when we checked back it was like the option had disappeared. I contacted seller support but they’ve not been very helpful and even though it’s obviously fraud the A-Z still stands!

Asfar as I am aware its always been like this for as far as i remeber , the first we know is when the A2Z refund comes through

Its happening to us also, customer orders received according to the tracking but A to Z granted, no investigation, no messages :-(

I saw on the news that there is a shopping lifting epidemic in the UK and Amazon is now encouraging this with automatic refunds !!

It is us sellers yet again that have to take it on the chin, we get a double hit, lose the cost of the product and the shipping costs. Amazon is not fit for purpose as a selling platform.

If the buyer has EVER sent you any message via Amazon Buyer-Seller Messages, then be rest assured that Amazon will let the buyer not only open but also grant the A-To-Z Claim.

If the buyer has placed 2 orders with you. First order was, lets say, a year ago and buyer contacted you for that order. Then Amazon will let them open an A-To-Z Claim for a second order that was just placed today.

WHY ?

Amazon CANNOT & WILL NOT differentiate between the messages exchanged for 2 different orders from the same buyer. They treat them as one.

So if a buyer has EVER messaged you in the past, Amazon will let them open & grant ALL A-TO-Z Claims starting that point.

PERIOD

We've just had this happen - postage bought through Amazon (where you're supposed to be protected from defects from A-Z claims) - tracking shows item has been delivered yet Amazon has given a full refund and us a defect.

Absolutely disgusting "service" from Amazon once again.
