Late shipment notification on an order thats less than 36 hours old
Is anybody else getting false "late shipment" notifications from amazon? Sold an item yesterday at 12:05am on 10/29/24. Went to package and ship it today, 945am on 10/30/24 ( its technically 34 hours old since the sale came through ) and it says that i have not shipped it by the date promised to the customer. I have 2 days handling time in the listing selected. That's means i have until 1205am tonight to get it processed and shipped before i should see the late shipment notification, no?

Do not go by the handling time you believe is in place, go by the ship by date shown on the order detail page.
Check your Shipping Settings / General
You may find that Amazon has switched you to automated handling.
I just had to change mine back.
You must check fairly often. Amazon has openly announced their intentions of sabotaging all of us in this manner. If they cannot force you to embrace it through buy-shipping promises, they'll just do it anyway.

Us too.
Funny how Amazon sent us an email saying we were going to be auto-enrolled and "this change will occur on October 8th"... and it didn't. Nor the 9th, nor 10th, nor 11th, and I was just starting to think maybe just maybe they weren't going to force it on us again.
But no, they were just being tricksy tricksy hobbitses, they snuck the change through on the 23rd; fortunately I'm paranoid enough now when dealing with this nonsense that I'd been checking it every day, and was able to turn it back off immediately before it caused any damage.
