My account has been suspended - what do i do?

We opened an amazon account a long time ago but never used it , we now want to start using it but when we logged in we recieved the below ? we have followed the instructions but there is no “repay balance” option and the balance is £0.00 …any advice on how we should appeal ?

Hello,

We removed your selling privileges because there was an outstanding balance on your selling account for at least 18 months and your account was credited to clear this outstanding balance.

Before we can consider reinstating your selling privileges, you must first repay this balance. If you are unable to pay the entire amount at once, you may make partial payments until you have paid the entire balance.

You can pay your balance by clicking the “Repay Balance” button in the Payments tool in Seller Central (recommended) or by wire transfer. Please write to merchant-balance@amazon.co.uk with questions regarding this balance. Payment information for each method is below.

You need to enter the Valid Credit Card number in Payment Method, Amazon will automatically deduct the repay balance and still after that its suspended you need to contact Seller Performance team for reinstatement.

Since your account was credited to clear the outstanding balance, then you are seeing £0.00 to pay.

If you had the Professional Selling Plan, Amazon could be referring to the monthly selling fee, which they were unable to charge you once your credit card on file expired.

Also, just as the notice says, you can write to merchant-balance@amazon.co.uk with questions regarding this balance.

I wouldn’t be in a hurry to update credit / debit card, do as Kika advises and see what the balance payable is.

If you had signed up for the Pro account the fees would be something like £500, and if you update card Amazon will grab the cash.

If you opened a Pro account they will have been taking the monthly £30 fees which will have accrued…
If, as you say, you have never used the account or sold anything then you should explain that and hopefully they should refund the fees, but they won’t be able to because your card has expired.

Can you post a screenshot of the Reports>Payments>Statement View page ?

Yes, you probably need to update or enter new Credit Debit Card details into Amazon so they can start charging monthly account fees again. Or Amazon may want to verify you and your account again, since you have not used for 18 months??

i am having the same problems, aparrently i infringed copyright products but i didnt know. they suspended my account i appealed over 1 week ago and no one has still reviewed my account or case and still they have taken the subscription fee from me. I have emailed plent of times and still no reply. can anyone help please?

If you had a pro account then it will have been accruing fees! You should have switched to individual account whilst not in use for extended period of time. Find out what the fees are first before you upload any new card details!!
