Is this selling someone else's product or is it a new product
Getting ready to list my first product but I don't know for sure how to list it. I have been in contact with a manufacturer in China and want to sell a keyboard vacuum cleaner they make. There are a few sellers on Amazon who sell the same vacuum on Amazon already and they have their own brand on them. I want to do my own brand and the factory says that they can put my name on the vacuums. Do I get a bar code for these and list them with as a new product, or since they are sold already here do I list them another way? Sorry to have such a basic question for the forum but I don't know how to contact anyone at Amazon to ask. Their read this and read that solutions to seller's questions is so confusing and like a big endless loop to new sellers.

Hello @Seller_m6vCm4L9xxlfz,
Thanks for reaching out. If you are going to have them branded as your own brand, you would need to list them under a new ASIN. I would also recommend that you purchase your UPC from GS1 as soon as possible as it can take up to 2 weeks to come across to Amazon with your information. Please note that if you update the GS1 website, this will restart the 2 weeks for the data to come over, so make sure that you enter it correctly when you add it to ensure minimal delays in getting your items added to your account.
As you are new, I would recommend that you study in Seller University and you may want to join the New Seller Community, which has new sellers like you that you can ask questions on how they did things as well as help from tenured sellers and Community Mangers.
I hope this is helpful!
Michelle
