Net Proceeds are Negative for a First Time Seller that hasn't sold any products as yet?
Hi Everyone,
Please can you help? I just started shipping products to FBA and haven’t’ sold anything yet but my Net Proceeds are negative.
It looks like Amazon took my first Professional Fee amount of £30 and added an expense of -£14.04 for an Inbound transportation charge fee, totalling a -£44.04. Now they want to charge my bank account the difference of -£14.04.
Does anyone know why I’m being charged this amount so soon and why it’s so much when I just sent my products a few days ago ? Is this how much it’s going to cost every time I ship something to Amazon FBA ?
Thanks for help and sincere kindness.
Krystal

They are charging you the cost of sending them your items. What the future costs will be will depend on how much you send. Generally i think the conventional wisdom is to try to send boxes of 14-15kg - unless your products are very light of course.

The monthly pro plan is due every month regardless of whether or not you sell and the inbound transportation fees have been charged as you have sent stock using a courier that needs paying for
The fees go through your accounts as an expense
If you are not selling enough to warrant the £30 monthly fee, you can downgrade to the individual selling plan
Yes you have to pay to send stock to amazon , but the amount will vary depending on the size of the shipment

Sorry but did you expect a “reverse prime” deal? Of course it will cost you to send goods to FBA. Either to UPS via Amazon or to your chosen courier.

I paid for the UPS shipment via Amazon FBA so no I didn’t expect an extra charge.

That’s what the charge is
-£14.04 which has been added to your account balance
If you’d have had funds from sales, this charge would be deducted from those funds however, as you’ve made no sales, amazon are charging your card to ensure they get the funds to pay to UPS on your behalf

Thanks I thought they took this right away from your card as thye already had my card details on there. Also I could’ve sworn the amount was like £11 something. Well I will know better next time. Thanks

It’ll be the vat added on
But it wasn’t £11 for 1 x 15kg box ?!
Where are you based ?
