Business Number Update

I have been trying to change my business number on my seller central account. I spoke to Amazon support and was directed to submit my tax information in order to be able to edit my business number. I proceeded to complete my tax information and I am still not able to change my business number because it is greyed out. Has anyone had a similar experience? if so, how did you go about getting it resolved?

To resolve this issue, please follow these steps:

First, ensure that all your tax information updates have been fully processed by our system (this typically takes 24-48 hours after submission)

If you're still unable to edit the business number after this period, you'll need to:

  • Contact Seller Support through the "Get Support" button in Seller Central
  • Select "Account Settings" > "Business Information"
  • Request a "Business Information Update Case"

Important Note: Business number changes require additional verification for security purposes. This cannot be done directly through the user interface, even after tax information updates.

The support team will need to:

  • Verify your identity
  • Review your updated documentation
  • Manually update the business number on your behalf

For fastest resolution, please have the following ready when opening your case:

  • Your updated business documentation
  • Government-issued identification
  • Proof of business ownership

If you've already opened a case and haven't received a response within 24 hours, please share your case ID, and I'll be happy to look into it further.
