Formal Complaint Against the incompetence of the Brand Registry Department

How does one go about making a complaint against a department at Amazon. Brand Registry has to be the worst performing team in all of Amazon. Now there are separate parts of Brand Registry. The people who are involve in IP are better than those who handle catalog issues that are locked by Brand Registry.

I am a brand owner and have been selling on Amazon for many years. Recently Amazon decided it would be a good idea to create an new size for my products and put the wrong size product in it (35 servings in a 28 serving category). Brand registry has control of these changes and clearly is not competent to manage them. Further, I would argue, that Brand Registry should not be able to override the brand owner's listing as there are other regulatory issues in play. Our products are protein powders and supplements and listing these as per the FDA are far more important that what some AI tool thinks.

Brand Registry's role should be to identify that I am the brand owner and allow me to maintain my products with out interference from poorly trained individuals who do not know the law or have any responsibility to anyone.

Finally, why can you not get in touch with Team Leadership when there is a problem that the minions can not solve. This whole department needs to be re-thought from the beginning.

How does one get visibility on these types of problems. Do I just show up at a stock holders meeting and shout down the CEO? I am willing to do that!

One time, I opened a case with Brand Registry to change my title.

They replied back that they were shutting down my account.

Another time, I was trying to connect my Seller Central account to Brand Registry.

They replied back that I am opening multiple cases for the same topic and they will take aggressive action against my account if I do not stop.

Its all empty threats as they are unable to do anything.

Brand Registry is, by far, the worst department in all of Amazon. I'm not sure how the hiring practice is but I imagine its not working out for Amazon.

The only path I can recommend for you is to involve a moderator.

A moderator does not have infinite power to resolve your issues. They can only look into cases for you and refer you to other people if the policy allows them to.

The process is as follows:

1. Open a case with Brand Registry Support and describe what you need.

2. Once you receive a reply back in typical Brand Registry gibberish, take note of the case ID that was assigned to your Brand Registry support case.

3. Mention that Case ID on this forum post you made and have a moderator look at it(it takes a couple of days).

4. The moderator will clarify what the Seller Partner Support associate is trying to say to you...or they will refer you to someone else internally. It depends on their findings.

I thinm this probably has to do with the new AI title change- or their AI tool roll out- this lovely action destroyed my sales and business- I'm looking into legal action- you can't mess with someone's business and it cost them 1k loss of daily sales and not. be held accountable

I agree with you. We have the same problems. Their business should be to identify you as a brand owner and allow you full control. However, sometimes we are not able to make simple changes and receive answers that try to get rid of us and mark the case as "Answered". Sometimes we think they may be paid by the number of answers regardless of the fact they are not solving anything.

Agreed. Amazon allows sellers in the sport card market to create a brand for an item that they did not produce and have no rights to slap their brand name on. Then when competition lists the same item they can file trademark infringement claims with Amazon and get the other sellers deactivated. Then the seller support tem from India calls and has no idea what you are talking about when you try to explain to them that the baseball card is made by another company and the seller on Amazon has no right to slap a trademark on it.
