Heads Up Amazon taking money from your account without telling you. Please check.
A mysterious deduction was taken from my Account in November and only after pressing Amazon did they reveal that is is a EPR FEE(TAX) for selling into France for 2023! There was no email or other notification form Amazon. I think this is underhand.
I only noticed because I have stopped selling into France so this appeared as a charge against my credit card. If you have a balance on your account the money would be deducted "Silently",
I suggest you look through your transactions for "Other" - MISC Fee. And raise a query if you find a mysterious subtraction from your funds.
The small print from Amazon is in help. Look for EPR - Amazon do not allow URLs so I can't show you a link.
Apparently Amazon had "Miscalculated" the fee and is clawing the money back from Sellers by Stealth.
Amazon support say :-
Upon review, I have found that these charges are categorized as 'EcoFeeChargebackAndServiceFee'.
This relates to the EU-mandated EPR regulation and these fees have been charged due to an incorrect calculation of the Extended Producer Responsibility fees and charges over 2023.
If Amazon have miscalculated a fee over a year ago then they should take responsibility for thier mistake and pay the fee out of their own coffers.

Wew have the same problem. Amazon have ignored our requests to refund this EPR FEE. We don't sell into France and have no listing there, but Amazon have charged this anyway. What is more is that whilst we have written numerous emails to Amazon (and spoken with some front line staff), we and they have written to the EPR team who are ignoring the case. 2 weeks later and still nothing.... I received a new Amazon email saying that they are about to charge EPR fees for the next season if we don't provide an EPR number. I don't know how to to stop this massive Amazon automated machine..... Come on Amazon, stop charging EPR fees incorrectly, refund the money, for those affected, and stop threatening to charge more EPR fees in error.
