Payment deferred (Individual seller FBM)

Hi Im a new individual seller (FBM)

My first payment is showing as deferred and apparently not payable until for 30 plus days. This is a lengthy time to wait for payment when Ive already despatched as per Amazon guidelines.

It appears to be showing "Upload Invoice" though not obvious to me this is a business buyer

How do I upload an Invoice as a Individual seller? Where do I get invoice from?

When will I get paid? How can I speed this up?

This is all very complex for an individual seller.

3-4 hours effort to communicate with Amazon and still none the wiser.

Many thanks

PS Ive added an Invoice to cover the Upload Invoice request, folloiwng Amazon guiidance below

I am VAT-exempt and thus cannot provide VAT invoices. What do I have to do?

If you are not required to apply VAT on your sales, you are required to provide a receipt for each order from an Amazon Business customer. Receipts need to include the following information:

Seller legal name and address

Customer legal name and address

Date of issue

Type and quantity of products supplied

Gross price per item as well as total payable amount

PPS Ive also now declared myself VAT exempt as Im only individual seller of a few books, so its automated for future sales I hope for business sellers

I think you were told on your other thread how to declare your VAT exempt status, so that invoices for Business Customers will be uploaded automatically by Amazon. The order itself will state if it is a 'Business Customer'.

Until then you will need to create your own invoice/receipt for this sale IF it is a business buyer. There are lots of templates online - just be sure you do not mention VAT as you are not VAT registered. - Oh, I see you've managed to declare your exempt status - good - I didn't read your second post until after I repleid !

As for payment. There is a new policy DD+7, so you will get paid 7 days after the date of delivery, and there is no way of speeding it up.

YES, selling on Amazon is VERY complicated, and has become more so over the past few years. Other platforms (Ebay) are far easier.

I would at this point also suggest you read through Seller University. While the forums are good, you should understand the basics of selling from this.

Payments Process is explained in this video.
