How to Sell on Amazon Germany
Hi
I’ve been selling on AMZ UK for three years and did sell a few items in the EU before Brexit but to be honest the amount i sold wasn’t worth it afterwards with having to register for vat in each EU country so didn’t bother afterwards.
I’ve decided i want to start selling on amazon Germany now and see how it goes, looking at my seller central Amazon DE page i can see i need to
1, Add deposit method, will my UK high street bank Do ?
2, and fill out EU responsible person inf for more than one asin i assume that’s straight forward.
3, Amazon keep offering me VAT Germany services for 15 euro a month does this take care of everything including registering for the German VAT.
4 Am i likely to encounter any problems with my UK account has anyone started selling on amazon DE recently, most of my Chinese competitors seem to be able to do it without issues.

If you want to sell in Germany you’ll need to register for EPR too
If you want to send and store stock in Germany you’ll need German VAT number, an Importer of record and fiscal representation

Does Amazon VAT services take care of registering for german vat, also i will only use FBA so i assume they will take care of storing stock

Yes assuming FBA works the same i cant compete without storing stock in Germany.

yes I’m VAT registered in the UK
i have an accountant but if Amazon service does it all for 15 euro a month including getting me registered it seems worth it

Also how did you deal with the EU Responsible person, there is no option to provide a UK address so i assume you are going to have to get Amazon to provide this service and i think it 45 Euro a month !!
