Amazon totally untrustworthy, support staff not much better

I don’t know if my treatment at the hands of Amazon is normal as this is my first time here, I doubt if I will continue as a seller after this experience.

But let me explain, on the 8/6/19 I signed up to become an Amazon seller, went through the required motions etc and even before I had been fully accepted I was told a charge of £30.00 was to be mad that very same day ( I say day it was about 8.30pm)

I immediately queried this only to be told I would not be charged anything as I was an individual seller, but strangely enough there was a hold no £30.00 in my bank account.

Once again I contacted Amazon and again I was told no, there is no charge made against my bank account and yet lo and behold today I look at my bank account and see beyond doubt £30.00 has been paid to Amazon.

Contacted them again and no apology or real explanation other than I will be refunded on the 22/6/19 so as you may understand I have no trust in the system or support staff.

I wonder how many other people they do this to, they probably make a tidy sum of all the interest of improper payments taken.

Needless to say I don’t think I will be continuing my dubious association with Amazon after this, or at least after I hopefully get my refund. Fingers crossed.

If you have inadvertently signed up as professional you will need to downgrade your account to individual otherwise you’ll keep being charged the £30

Clear house Amazon. No one is buying their rubbish answers. Get a professional customer services department.
