Problems with creating listings via flat file
Hi all!
I’m trying to create listings with a flat file. I’ve done this before and know the common error codes. But now the situation is that I’m trying to create a listing parent + variations. The system creates variations as separate listings and reports an error 8007 that it cannot find my parent in my inventory (We’re unable to find the Parent SKU: [1028/52/55-231] in your inventory. This can happen when there is a problem with the parent-child data in your inventory file)
What could it be?
I checked everything. The relationship between parent and child is correct. Any advise?
Thanks everyone!

I think I found.
I tried to upload again and again the same (42 variations + parent and 12 variations separately). Status: “Successful”. In the download file I saw an error that I hadn’t seen before: “The child SKU (‘1052-231 purple 10US’) could not be added to parent SKU (‘1028/52/55-231’) because another SKU (‘1028-231 purple 10US’) has the same variation attributes ([“size_name”,“color_name”]) and is already associated with the parent SKU.”
I really have two types of beige shoes and two types of purple (in total 12). The system did not add different MSKUs, but the colours remained the same.
Now the question: size name and colour name is the colour map and size in the file?
What do I need to change/rename?

This normally happens when there is a problem with the parent SKU in the file. There should be another error code to describe what is wrong with the parent SKU
For whatever reason when the file upload run it couldn’t create the parent SKU so you need to work out what is wrong. It is often in the Variation part of the upload that is wrong, for example both Parent SKU and Relationship Type should be blank for the parent SKU…if they are set then this can cause a failure.

For me, the most common reason for this is that I accidentally fill in a field that should be left blank for a Parent Sku, causing it to be rejected.

Hi all!
I am grateful to each of you for your answers. Since yesterday, I have progressed to the point that when a file is loaded (1 parent + 54 variations), the system creates a parent + 42 variations, and the remaining 12 creates separate listings.
I have added and deleted listings several times. Tried to change MSKU, but nothing.
What can be done?
My niche is shoes (maybe this info will help).
Thank you very much for your help.

No, Smiley_Guy.
I thought about what you’re saying, but it’s all exactly the same, except for the size and color.
Amz reports a successful download.

Last thing i would do then is contact SS, screenshot the success on the flat file and ask why its not showing on the listing. they may just have to refresh the listing.

ok. I will contact them and God bless you all)

But I really doubt… it make sense
This may take weeks.

Ye i understand… use as many screenshots and attachments as needed to try get your point across… i find this helps alot as its something visual.

If it reports a successful download then they didn’t detect any errors.
The only thing I can think is that you are missing some all of the variation details for those SKU’s…in particular the Parent SKU hasn’t been set.
If they are all okay then it is one for Seller Support as advised by others…although it may be hard to get them to understand the issue.

I am grateful to each of you for your help. The solution was to rename the colours in the “Color” column. “Color map” remained the same.
