UIEE file format for books

****** Amazon have decided that the UIEE file format for books is no longer a thing. You are now required to enter a 'list price with tax' field but they will not provide us with the UIEE code needed in the files for this to work.

What are others doing? We cannot be the only bookseller that this has affected surely?

This is what Amazon have told us so far (mind you, some of the support staff still tell us to use the UIEE files!):

"Upon detailed investigation we found that the List Price with Tax field is not a part of the UIEE format/template which you are using to upload your products. So you will not be able to update this attribute value through the UIEE format. It is not possible to include this specific attribute in the template in any way...The only option for you to use a regular/category-specific feed template to update this attribute value for your listings. It cannot be done using the UIEE format, as this feature is not present in that template currently."

We got our tech chap to tweak the upload files - but I have absolutely no idea what he did, which is not much help, I know. He might be willing to advise you. Why do Amazon programmers not understand "if it ain't broke....."
