Aged inventory Surcharge
Struggling to find an answer on this.
Aged inventory is charged on the 15th of each month.
in the Inventory Reports I can see the age of inventory
91-180 days and 181-330 days.
What I'm trying to understand is this.
lets say between July 15th and August 15th I have 20 units that are now over 180 days. if I remove them before Aug 15th will I incur the Aged inventory fee?

Good morning, and great question!
Aged inventory surcharges are assessed using an inventory snapshot on the 15th day of each month and is in addition to the monthly inventory storage fee. So in your scenario, if the inventory is removed prior to the 15th you would not incur the fee.
If you submit a removal or disposal order for inventory before the cleanup date, that inventory won’t incur an aged inventory surcharge, even if it isn’t physically removed before the cleanup date. The deadline for submitting a removal order is 11:59 p.m. (PT) on the 14th of the month.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
