GST Input TAX Credit for 5% TAX Groceries

Can you please help me to provide more information.

We are into Snacks and Jaggery products and we sell both online and offline. The suppliers are showing our TAX in GST ( @ 5% ), however we are not taking this inputs for our account.

We wanted to understand if we are eligible to take input on the GST paid by Amazon which is charged on the commision they charge which is 18%.

Assumming you are GST registered and not under composite scheme, you should be able to take inputs on GST on both your purchase and services provided by Amazon.

Cane Jaggery, salt etc are Nil rated products , GST 5% should not be charged by the suppliers. Jaggery when pre-packed attract a 5 % GST.

I do not see any reason why GST charged by Amazon or any other services should not be taken as inputs.

Consult a local CA/ tax consultant to get better information on GST inputs specific to your case.
