Why are Evri charges through Amazon £2.46 + vat = £2.95 but through Ebay they are £2.04 + vat = £2.45

Same size boxes, same service etc....

Evri standard drop off

Is Amazon just basically profiteering an extra 50p a package?

one guess would be they have added VAT onto a VAT price.

Which is exactly what they did for about a year to the Amazon prepaid return labels, so they have form.

On eBay, you don’t pay VAT. I am afraid, your calculation is incorrect. Look carefully, the billing entity is Packlink which is Spain based. So, the VAT is reverse charged. So 2.45 is net of VAT.

Whereas on Amazon it is 2.46 + VAT.

Why do you think Amazon pushes buyers to get shipping via Amazon, they make money from you on it do you think Amazon actually pays £1.55 for second-class large letters, do they hell as like, they have a Royal Mail account and get a massive discount via Royal Mail, so every item you send they make money on, I only get my postage via RM click and drop who then link to my Amazon account and automatically send the tracking to Amazon and mark it as shipped. Amazon wants all sellers to ship via the platform to make more money from us. open your own RM account and get your own discounts, better in your pocket than the platforms.

It's baffling how many different options there are for the exact same service. Between Royal Mail and Amazon there must be a dozen different options to send a first class tracked large letter. They have more letter codes than a James Bond film.

We gave up on Royal mail after the strikes last year and all the surcharges after they opened the "state of the art" new depot.

We asked them multiple invoice questions and they didn't know the answers about their own products - clueless!!
