Error 8541 with Parent / Child
Amazon Seller support is such an unbelievable nightmare. I have £40k of stock sat around for a week because of them and still no solution.
I have an electric scooter product with 4 colour variants. I am a brand registered reseller for the brand and they created the 4 individual colour ASINs with basic information for me because Amazon would not except the GS1 from me but would from them (4 days wasted).
Because they are colour variants I created a parent ASIN and added the 4 child ASINs as colour variants. I also added descriptions, tech details, bullet points etc in the parent and updated the title of the parent. This info should then apply to all child ASINs.
But when I get to the final stage I get an 8541 error on the parent with one of the child ASINs! It makes no sense.
I've gone round and round with seller support and I can spend a whole day and at the end of the day they are asking me the same questions they asked at the start. I got better help from ChatGPT (I really did, I asked and it was better).
Any ideas?
