Issues with listing a product

Hello,
I have issues with listing a product, can not make a page on Amazon for my product from zero, only think I can do is just to add my product at existing listing on Amazon.
I contacted Amazon support, explain my issue, every time I’m trying to do an listing from zero it just don’t appear or it goes straight to the drafts menu, where it ask for additional information, i’m trying to edit the list but still no changes.
Amazon support told me it’s on their backend and told me to wait for an update.
The update after few days was :

-"Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,

I understand that you are trying to add a new listing for your products and it just appears in Drafts menu saying “Listing requires additional information. Click “Edit draft” to continue.”.

Upon checking with our specialists, we received an update from them stating that as per policies for Catalog Authorization, you are not authorized to make ASIN edit contributions for the respective brand.

Hence, while you are able to make contributions, your contributions are ignored by reconciliation. You would need to wait for a brand owner to update missing information on the brand in order to list this ASIN."-

Which barely make sense for me. I can not list any of my product until it’s listing by brand owner? and I just can add it to the existing Amazon page ?

Just asking if maybe I’m missing something and there is an solution what I can do for my issues.

Thank you!

It’s not really the wholesaler who can help you unless they have control over the brand on Amazon. Essentially the brand have restricted who can edit listings so they have control over the appearance of listings as well as the content within them.

Does your item have a barcode? Does that barcode match an existing item? Do you have authorisation from the brand to sell?

As mentioned it sounds like you are trying to add something that is branded but lack the necessary permissions to do so.

so, if the EAN links to an existing product in the catalogue, you shouldnt create another listing from scratch, you list on the existing product as long as it is EXACTLY the same as your item.

If you are asked by Amazon to provide invoices and an authorisation letter then yes you will need one but if the brand owns the listing you will struggle to be able to change any details.

So that will be because the brand has stopped listing creation under that brand so that other people can’t create listings.

Did you buy it from an authorised wholesalers? with permission to sell on Amazon?

Ok I see, that may be the reason

I’ll double check about permission with my wholesalers, they say I can not sell on Amazon US but nothing about Amazon UK. Still, I’ll double check.

Thank you for your help!
