GOOD BYE AMAZON!

Well the end has reach us in Amazon. After 14 years of selling beauty products, Amazon has taken everything away from us. Today we received a notification that Estée Lauder products will no longer be allowed. Few months ago it was Clinique. We also sold brand name perfumes and they took down a listing because I wrote the name of the perfume and did not mention the brand of perfume. Amazon is really falling apart. On to my new adventure. It's been fun Amazon, but.no more.

Amazon is falling apart, but they are trying to clean up the mess. Starting with removing those fraudsters, those who do not have brand permissions, those who drop ship...the list can go on forever!

So you did get busted for selling brands after you were told you couldn't. [Moderator Edit: removed inappropriate commentary]

It's not Amazon's fault, it is the Estee Lauder company. They want to sell themselves on Amazon, more brands that Estee Lauder owns will likely be banned for 3rd party sellers in the future.

I started selling on Amazon in 2015, and it was an incredible experience.

In my second year, I achieved $1 million in sales from home, without any employees. Life was great—I bought a house, a new car, and everything was going well.

However, after COVID-19, everything changed, including Amazon's CEO.

Nowadays, competition has skyrocketed, and profit margins are very small. When we have a great product and are selling well, Amazon often steps in with a "competitive price." If we don't match it, our product becomes virtually invisible on the website.

Additionally, our items are frequently search suppressed, and we have no way to fix this.

Fees have also increased significantly. Last month, we were charged $400 for not restocking inventory, despite having a small account now.

Moreover, we have to compete with Chinese sellers, who have an unfair advantage due to the depreciation of the dollar.

For small Amazon accounts, it’s tough to cover all the fees and business insurance.

I'm not sure when things went off track, but I wish the best for those who are still finding success on Amazon.

Same here. Swimwear retailer here and can no longer list brands I’ve been selling successfully for 10 years. They’ve suppressed my best selling product listings. They have become impossible to deal with in every aspect of running a retail business fairly. Good riddance Amazon!

The most ridiculous thing about this is that they created the low inventory level fee to force you to buy a large amount of stock and now they simply give you 1 week to sell all your stock before deactivating all your brand listings. I'm not going to replace anything else, because the tendency is for them to do this with all good brands. I wanted to know where they got so many fertile minds to invent so many things

I agree that Amazon is a mess, but I see no clear path to cleaning it up. The Fair Pricing bot is a mess, the Children's Safety Certificate for well known toys (that Amazon once sold), and don't get me started on what Amazon thinks is an acceptable invoice.

This site it a toxic swamp and getting worse by the day.

Amazon has been getting progressively more difficult for 3P sellers for about 6 years, but in last year it has gone off a cliff. The number of long time sellers (10+ years selling) who have been suspended for questionable circumstances has been alarming.

Amazon appeared to ratchet up the algorithm they were using for "unsuitable goods" about a year ago; that and the increased scrutiny on invoices has created an absurd situation.
