Go to settings- fulfilment by amazon and make sure the following are all set to disabled
EFN
Allow amazon to buy my products to sell globally
Shipping programmes and export settings - specifically, amazon UK

no you won’t get it back
its the VAT that amazon have collected on behalf of the relevant government

its the reason why most of us only sell in UK - to UK

but there is no option to sell to Ireland
and I never asked them to sell to people in Ireland if its going to cost me that much how can I stop such sales

If your selling via FBA, then you have global sales enabled.
If your selling via FBM, then you have international sales enabled in your shipping plan.

I have checked the settings and efn is disabled as well as “Allow amazon to buy my products to sell globally” which i am ineligible for since i do not have the professional selling plan so how did that sale happen

Selling into the EU for a few extra Euros is not worth the stress that comes with knowing the tax rates and arguing about delivery. I have since Brexit stuck to Uk Mainland and NI sales only and my hair loss has been stopped.
Money is not everything sometimes.

If you are VAT registered you will file the sale as a non-vat sale, and I am not sure about FBA but all the duty that the ROI like to charge will also come out of your money as this also has to be paid by the seller! Its a disgusting arrangement and we have stopped selling international via Amazon platform FBM. So yes block any International buyers, Ireland are a little more tricky as they buy from .co.uk. I just added No international postal options and that done the trick for us. Good luck. You will probably just have to swallow the costs if you are not VAT registered.
