Blocked Unless FBA - only some SF Listings, not all (yet)

Anyone else experiencing this on Seller Fulfilled listings?

My account health is in good standing, I have more that the required Seller Fulfilled Orders to avoid the Festive Selling block.

It started with 6 SF listings being “Blocked unless FBA”, but every time I look - a few more appear “Blocked unless FBA”.

I have emailed SS, but of course no reply addressing the issue as of yet…

I use FBA, but have some listings that are out of FBA stock and I have not got around to replenishing yet, so they were SF listings

Click on the words “Blocked unless FBA” in the status column of your inventory. It’s the same as the Edit button.
Change the Offering Release date to todays date. wait 15 mins. Does it go Active?

I have had some luck with my items that are listed in the incorrect category ie toys and games

I requested that they be put into the correct category and I was able to list against them again.

I know this is not helpful to people who are actually selling in toys and games but it may help people with mis categorised listings

Mine all say ‘Manage Images’ on the blocked ones!

I’ve just got off the phone again after no contact from my previous call this morning.

They said that it’s likely because the products are restricted (books and albums for stamp collecting etc!?) and to contact ‘products-compliance@amazon.com’, which I have done, and also sent a copy to the MD email as previously suggested in this thread.

Thanks for starting the thread - checked mine & can see 50% are now inactive . There is no consistency to it as similar items in the toy range are still active. Good old Seller Support haven’t a clue when I ask why.

I opened 1 case with SS. I got fobbed off with a cut and paste reply detailing the Christmas rules so went straight to the MD. I have not heard from him yet.

While I have been waiting for him to reply I have continued with SS. As expected this is proving to be somewhat frustrating.

I have had two automated replies stating the christmas rules from the seller performance team.
i have replied again and will continue to do so.
But i just got off the phone with a very helpful Irish lady, who asked for a screenshot of the email i got on the 24th stating i had passed the requirements to sell from the 1st Nov in toys and games. She said she would be forwarding this onto the technical team rather than seller performance team. She also said there inbox was full of identical complaints.
So it does appear to be a technical problem somewhere. its just a matter of getting it fixed, suggests everyone keeps pushing and hopefully we can get this fixed. Im sure im not the only one who is losing a fortune because of this.

I fear that you will get the same responses… The SS Reps are not Techies, so they just want to reply to you with anything - and at the moment the Festive Selling Blurb is the hottest thing since sliced bread for them !!. Also, the quicker they reply, the more emails they can respond to per hour - thus ensuring that there own targets are met… and they still have a job. Most of them are probably temps at the moment over Christmas

As for me: Amazon have in a roundabout way admitted this has been a mistake - accepted fully that my listings should be made active - they have told me how to do this (I am very experienced with csv uploads)

I have now uploaded 3 times - and stiill I am blocked. Amazon acknowledge this and now say I need to upload and then “Edit” each one manually - really?? - ok if it works…

Ok, well lets go - but alas - no EDIT option for any that are blocked.

So, if you have manged to get them active again - can you tell me how? because I am getting nowhere.

Cheers - Scott

Also no edit option. Tried adding an ASIN again. It let me go through the normal manual add process as normal but when I viewed it in the normal manage Inventory screen the new one is also blocked.

@ToySeller - If you are ever in W8 I’ll treat you to some Chicken Cottage.

It works for now. Edited 4 listings so far all back

Cheers mate - works on the one listing I tried for the time being, but for how long not sure…

It could be a long night editing one by one and changing dates - but worth it I guess…

Would that work on a file upload? Maybe it gets the listings back live because Amazon have changed a few things back of house ?

this is a total disgrace and IMO will only get worse. There is NO excuse for Amazons appalling business tactics and allowing this to occur in the first place. I despair at their pathetic excuses and inadequate training in dealing with hugely important issues which can mean the difference to an Amazon seller going out of business because of their total lack of professional ethics and necessary acumen to run a professional organisation in the correct manner . The front line staff are always courteous and pleased to help but have NO proper decision making process at their fingertips. Also the huge issue is for many of us is you can never speak to a human being in performance metrics or indeed a senior decision maker in Amazon seller central.

They tried to tell me this afternoon that I had to sell 25 items on EACH ASIN to qualify for Xmas selling. I just told them thats rubbish. They are now saying “With regards to your request, we have alerted our specialists to your issue and have forwarded your case to their attention.
They are looking into your issue with high priority and will contact you if any additional information is required.
We understand that this is an urgent issue so we are working hard to provide a prompt resolution.”
Its really not good enough. Another nail in the coffin for selling on Amazon… Are they really trying to drive us all away?

Please note that in my experience - if your items are Blocked Unless FBA and you have appealed against this, you are unlikely to get a reply. However, it is worth checking daily if your item have indeed been unblocked but are still showing Blocked Unless FBA. This has happened to me on both occasions I appealed. No reply, but listing were actually unblocked.
To check - go to your inventory and find a blocked item. Click on Blocked Unless FBA in the Status column, Then under the Offer Tab, change the Offering Release date to today’s date. Wait up to 15 mins to see if it goes Active.
Could be a waste of time I know, but I’m only going on my experience.
Your listings will still remain blocked after the january end date. You will need to change that date, either manually or inventory loader if you have a lot, in order to get them active.

I’ve just tried clicking ‘Blocked unless FBA’ on a product in our inventory, simply clicked ‘save & finish’ and after about 15 minutes its now live.

I’ll try a few more, and if still live by morning I’ll get our guys ‘editing’ the other 1200 products tomorrow!

What exactly is the process we need to follow?

I have tried amending the price by 1p and I have tried clicking on blocked until FBA and saving but it does not seem to be working. Maybe I have to wait longer?
