Deferred Transactions for all orders
Hi,
Has anyone else noticed their Amazon funds all of a sudden not being released?
I’ve just had a pay out slightly lower than normal, but my next payment contains only a very small amount and that amount is going down as I have to buy letter postage via Amazon which is coming out of the cleared funds. At this rate there won’t be any funds for my next pay out, and there won’t be any cleared funds left to even pay for the postage labels.
I’ve reached out to seller support who are just saying I’ve had an account reserve since 2016 (there was a reserve but it was not affecting the daily flow of cleared funds).
Something has changed around the end of May as I’ve gone from funds being released daily to no funds being released for the past two weeks (I’ve had daily sales so no gaps there).
I can’t see or find any messages to notify me of any recent changes, have I missed something?

Hi @Seller_PuIiBcXDpSMD5
From what you've described, it seems that Amazon has indeed made some changes to your account reserve around the end of May 2024. While you've had a reserve in place since 2016, it appears that the terms of this reserve have been modified, significantly impacting your daily fund releases.
Amazon can adjust reserve requirements based on various risk factors, and unfortunately, these changes can sometimes occur without explicit notification. The reserve affects how quickly funds are released into your available balance, which explains why you're seeing less money in your cleared funds and why your next payout is looking concerningly small.
There could be several reasons for this increased hold on your funds. Amazon might have reassessed your account based on performance metrics, seasonal risk factors, changes in your product category risk profile, or shifts in your overall selling patterns. Sometimes, an increase in customer claims or returns can also trigger such changes.
The impact on your operations is understandably significant. With a reduced daily available balance, you're finding it difficult to cover operational costs like postage. This delay in accessing your earned funds can create a cascading effect on your working capital, which is a serious concern for any business.
I do recommend you to contact our Seller Support team in order for them to check deeper into your account and be able to provide you with a more specific reason of the changes.
Christine.
