Not charged for buy shipping
Don’t know what is going on but I have noticed when we requested a payment from Amazon on the 23/04/21 and the 25/04/21 the usual Amazon fees were deducted but nothing was taken for the “buy shipping” postage labels. Has anyone else noticed this or does anyone know what is going on.

Is your Royal mail business account linked to amazon ?

Something that hasn’t been mentioned here yet:
Were the labels purchased from Royal Mail or did you use a different courier?
Even though the buy shipping system is being used each of the different couries can have slightly different billing systems.
It’s also possible that the payments can be delayed and/or held for a couple of weeks and charged all at once.
edit: just checked and on the 24th we were charged for an order that was despatched on the 13th. That’s using Amazon Shipping.

I wonder if when Amazon “fixed” the double charging, they went too far the other way and now aren’t even charging for genuine Amazon buy shipping labels, where they should be.

I’ve been charged for mine done up to Friday, I’m only doing specials through it though

Just done another batch of large letter size through buy shipping and no charge again. As I said in a previous post I did link to my private C&D account just to try click and drop out. But when you buy through buy shipping the charge should still be to your Amazon account. If I buy through click and drop on the Royal Mail site I would pay through the RM site.

I often find that the date payment is taken for Buy Shipping does not match up with the date the label was purchased. There is often a lag, more so for some couriers than others.

Hi, just to say I have the same issue: The charge for delivery labels purchased through Amazon (Royal Mail 1st and 2nd class and Hermes) not showing in my seller account payments report since the 24th April apart from a Hermes on the 26th. I have read the forum responses and will wait it out for a few days. I don’t have a Royal Mail linked account.

Who’s got money on when Amazon “fix” this, that it starts double charging everyone again.

I think there is a slight misunderstanding somewhere above between a C&D account which is ‘integrated’ with Amazon for auto-dispatching purposes - and an RM business account being ‘linked’ to Amazon, allowing RM business account users to get access to their own rates via Amazon Buy Shipping.
You cannot ‘link’ a personal C&D account to Amazon, but you can have a live integration for pulling through orders to buy postage for any Amazon orders on C&D and then dispatching it on Amazon via C&D. In other words anybody who is purchasing ‘Buy Shipping’ labels direct from Amazon who does not have a linked RM business account, is simply just purchasing the ‘Buy Shipping’ postage in the normal usual way, which it sounds like the original poster has been attemptng to do, as they always have.
The fact it sounds like there is a potential that just ‘normal’ Buy Shipping has not been charged is just too funny. Surely this multi-billion dollar company has not pressed a button which not only stopped those with a ‘linked’ RM business account from being charged twice, but also stopped anybody buying any ‘normal’ Buy Shipping from being charged properly as well?
Surely not!! I hope so. It would make my day.

Spent another hour or so trying to explain on Amazon chat what their problem is but they would not accept I was getting free postage. They said it is impossible if your printing the labels you must be getting billed. Eventually they looked at my transactions and could see I was not being billed for shipping since the 23rd, they could have looked in the first place, instead of wasting so much time. It was a bit like trying to explain calculus to a 4 year old but eventually I think the penny dropped.
I have left it with them to sort out. It is possible thousands of sellers are getting free shipping and Amazon do not seem to be aware of it.
