Provide the Italian Tax Identification Number (TIN) to comply with Italian law Decree No.157/2019

Hi,

For the second time, I have received this notification on the homepage of my Seller Central account:

______________________________

"Dear Seller,

Under Italian Law No. 157/2019, Amazon is required to comply with certain reporting requirements to the Italian tax authority.

For this reason, we require Italian based sellers who complete one or more transactions on Amazon.it to add their Italian TIN (also known as ‘codice fiscale’) in their Tax settings in Seller Central to continue selling on Amazon.it

We have identified that you have not provided a valid TIN. You are required to provide one by visiting the Tax Settings page within 30 days to avoid the deactivation of your Amazon.it account.

What is a Tax Identification Number (TIN)?

A Tax Identification Number is your ‘codice fiscale’, which corresponds to a VAT ID the without country identification code if you are an entity or an owner Citizen ID if you are an individual or Sole trader (‘P.IVA Individuale’).

How can I add my TIN?

Go to ‘Tax Settings’: https://www.sellercentral.amazon.it/gc/amazon-business/tax-settings

If you’re an entity (i.e. societa di persone and societa di capitali), you must add 2 datapoints:

VAT ID in the VAT/GST registration

Business registration number (entity ‘Codice fiscale’, which corresponds to a VAT ID without the ‘IT’ country code)

If you’re an Individual (including sole trader (‘Partita IVA individuale’), you must add 1 datapoint (mandatory) and 1 optional:

Owner personal ‘codice fiscale’ in the Citizen ID field. (Mandatory)

VAT ID in the VAT/GST registration (If available)"

______________________________

I am a "Partita IVA individuale" and have already entered my "Codice Fiscale", which is the mandatory field in the Citizen ID section.

Could anyone please help me understand why I keep receiving this notification?

Thanks,

Erfan
