How do I add a tracking id when I have clicked on buy shipping
I am trying to improve our VTR with Amazon, they have suggested we use ‘buy shipping’. The problem is I can’t add the tracking ID to the order.
Amazon help have suggested I add it once the label has been produced (I can’t! there’s nothing to click on), they have suggested I do it before the label has been produced (you don’t have a tracking reference until the label has been produced).
I have such a long thread on the case log, I’m just getting no clear answers.
I have noticed that my VTR is improving, however, none of my customers are getting a tracking ID.
Can anyone help with this please?

if you are buying postage from amazon buy shipping, they upload all the relevant info - you don’t need to add anything

As mentioned by Littleshop, if using buy shipping all the postage is automatically updated with all the relevant information, it is all either exempt or valid for your VTR so you don’t need to worry
Note if you are sending large letters (and maybe parcels) that come with a delivery confirmation, despite Amazon demanding this information from sellers not using buy shipping, they do not keep a record of the codes, up to you if you need to/want to keep them for yourself.

Same issue here. Why isn’t the tracking number available after using Buy Shipping?
It’s only a matter of time when I get a ‘where’s my item’ email and I can’t even help!

Same issue here. If I use Buy Shipping it does not store the reference that I can use on RM track & trace. After a month or so you can no longer reprint the labels, so the tracking id is lost.
What I find really annoying is that RM Click & Drop worked perfectly, and stored the reference on amazon, but amazon would then update my VTR to 0%, so had to switch the Amazon’s awful buy shipping.
I gave up trying to explain the issue to Amazon Support, I now just save a copy of the labels for a few month in case the customer asks for a refund etc.

I’m pleased you have confidence that if your VTL is below 95% your listing will not be suspended, but once I started to get emails from Amazon threatening to remove listings I didn’t want to take the risk.
Ok, it was my decision, but if I choose to use click and drop Amazon would have continued to send me emails to say my listings are at risk. That would stress me out far too much!
This is a very odd situation with VTL, why can’t Amazon update the VTR rates if they are validating them in the background

Thanks everyone, this has been a huge help.
