Same product but different package design?

Hi All,

I have come across a number of products that are the same thing but have a different design, what is the ruling on selling these on the listing?

The dimensions, product and barcodes are exactly the same but the graphic designs are different (sometimes the manufacturer has updated the design or whatever) can I still put this on the existing listing? Or would I have to create a new one?

Thanks

In essence, you are supposed to list against the listing for the barcode on the product.

If the packaging design has changed and the barcode hasn't (and we have had suppliers do this and worse, because they don't understand barcodes) you are still supposed to list on that amazon listing, because the barcode is correct.

It then becomes a risk, the risk being hte customer could complain that hte product isn't genuine because it doesn't look like the image on amazon.
