Even if I did know of such a change/optimisation I am not sure I would be posting it on a forum where my competitors would read it!

Switching to FBA 7 years ago & creating my own Brand 2 years ago, joining Brand Registry.Huge effect on my business selling basically similar products as previous but no competition on listings. As reviews come in sales have had a constant upward trajectory with many repeat buyers.Year to Date currently sales + 98% on last year.

After the demise of Small & Light we thought we were as good as done. Our items where around £3 and to make the same money on FBA our items were going to be close to £5 after the new Amazon fees

So we switched back to FBM, kept same prices and then added postage. Oddly the total price customer then pays is more than FBA would have been, however as the shipping is separate customers still mentally see the item is low priced and go through the motions.

Competition has dropped off for our products and we actually make more per sale. We lost the extra volume that FBA generated but now we don’t get 20+ Amazon Refund Initiated emails a day.

The shame is though that the customer is now paying more for the same product we were selling 6 months ago. That is not IMO a Positive CX.

We only pile in FBA now where we are going in holiday.

I have stopped FBA for many products.

Increased FBA returns in an unsellable state (usually due to carrier damage), large increases in FBA fees, stock missing from shipments (read stolen) all have made FBA far less attractive than it used to be. I now fulfill these items myself across other selling platforms and it is working out better for me.
