Buying and selling

discussion.Good Morning, I am new to Amazon FBA but a little confused about how it works. I am wanting to go into shops and buy deals to sell etc as I have seen this is a good way to start but I have noticed you need to ask permission to sell brands such as huggies etc how do I go about permissions? Will it work with a store receipt? If not how am I to try and set up my account so I can start selling? I find the process very confusing. Many Thanks

Buying retail to sell on amazon CAN work - but if you do get asked to supply proof of your supply chain - you'll find very quickly, that amazon don't accept retail receipts.

They state as much here

Basically - you need to source products from wholesalers or directly from manufacturers. Not shops.

What you are wanting to do will likely fail, I am afraid, and is not the best business model for Amazon. Not sure why you think that this is a good way to start ? Buying from stores (high street shops) is NOT the best way on Amazon, as they will seldom accept retail receipts. Some people get lucky and they do for a while, but then they will ask for proper invoices from reputable wholesalers.

As for learning the process - you need to thoroughly read and study Amazon 'Seller University' - found under 'learn' on your seller homepage. Selling on Amazon is not easy and there are lots of metrics and policies to follow and adhere to.
