Product Cloned by Chinese seller
We have had our UK manufactured and brand registered product cloned by a Chinese seller for the third time.
They have no intention of and Cannot supply the product as it is manufactured by us to our registered design.
I am completely pi**ed off with this as Amazon are not interested and can’t seem to do anything about it. It costs us sales and ultimately any customer trying to buy the product from them will not receive the goods.
I have been fobbed off by our Amazon account manager who has basically said that Amazon will let the Chinese sellers do what they want as they bring in so much Revenue.
It is time consuming to fix and I can’t believe that Amazon allow it to happen.

It’s so frustrating more so when you know it’s a cheap copy if its trademarked all you can do really is file the claim with Amazon and keep pushing them.

Wow!.. I have long suspected this, so to have some sort of official confirmations is quite an admission.
Perhaps when the site is completely overrun with fake products from Chinese sellers, and buyers start leaving in droves, Amazon will wake up.
It’s funny because during my recent re-verification when I asked them why I was having to do this for the third time they said it was because buyer trust was very important…
Evidently not that important though in comparison to Amazon making

BTW if I had an account manager and they said that to me I’d tell them that if they didn’t do anything about the Chinese seller I would report their comments to the press.
Just imagine the fallout if an admission like that hit the headlines?

Know how you feel, we have had the same problem, top selling product for 6 years with hundreds of positive reviews, all of a sudden picture changed, product codes changed, brand changed, and we got thrown of the listing as the Chineese company that highjacked the listing reported us as selling inauthentic items.

They have now reduced the price of the £14.95 product to £0.50 to own the buy box and there is nothing I can do. I really hate Amazon with a passion there fall from grace will be massive I hope I live long enough to see it.

Have you issued a ‘report infringement’ form to have them removed, provided you have rights as stated, Amazon have to act, or they risk legal action themselves.

Do you have a brand registry? If yes there is a way to stop the seller if they are selling on your listing. Let me know as we have reported and have a success rate of 99% and we report on a daily basis violations like this and within a few min the seller is removed.

PRODUCT DISCRIPTION ON AMAZON Trademark Number … without prejudice
As the Trademark owner for PRODUCT DISCRIPTION ON AMAZON we can confirm that the item sold by SELLERS NAME (ASIN …) have been imported into the European Economic Area (EEA) without our consent and they have not purchased the products from us and therefore have no consent. This is a clear violation of our Intellectual Property and as a registered Brand and Trademark we will not hesitate to initiate litigation process against the Amazon seller [SELLERS NAME) to protect and enforce our rights.
We will be very grateful to Amazon to help us protect our intellectual property and not allow such intellectual property violations.
This is the wording we use and find it to be very effictive.

We are in the same position, and it is very frustrating. We sell hand sanitiser which is produced in-house and supplied direct from our factory. Someone in the UK has copied everything about us … our images, wording, reviews etc and listed as selling our goods.
I ordered some out of curiosity and it is a completely different product being supplied … dodgy ingredients, different packaging and labelling by another company. Very clearly completely different.
Thankfully a few customers have called us to query, but sales have dropped to almost zero. The seller is in the UK but Amazon will do nothing and nor will trading standards despite both us, and our customers complaining. Trading Standards cannot do anything either and we have not trademarked our name. I am at a loss and to where to go next, as Amazon are just not interested.

Name & Shame them! Maybe Amazon will listen.
