How to get reviews?

I have sold many items in last a few months. However only received 2 reviews! (in total have received 11 reviews these 9 were from the last year)

I don’t think there’s an issue with the product quality, I sell same products on different platforms and have received more than 5k 5 star reviews.

I use amazon’s ‘request feedback’ button but doesn’t look like it works/ encourages buyers to leave a review? I know how important reviews to build trust.

Could you please advice how can I increase reviews without rushing people to leave a review?

Thank you in advance!

Well for one, request feedback does nothing for reviews, it is requesting seller feedback

You don’t get many reviews, or feedback on Amazon, I have a product I have been selling for years, I sold over 1,000 in the last 3 months alone, yet the listing has less than 150 reviews

Feedback is even less, in the last 30 days I have received a massive 20 feedback on Amazon, compared to nearly 170 on Ebay (which does about 1/3 the orders as I do on here)

Unless you want to pay for Vine reviews, then there isn’t much you can do about it.

Amazon already send out way too many emails to customers (I just deleted about 20 from my email box which I only spring cleaned a couple of days ago) so I really don’t see the need to send even more, and they already ask for reviews.

My advice, just sell your items, the reviews and feedback will come… very very very slowly

This just isn’t a platform where reviews/feedback are left regularly

Thank you so much Dedez, didn’t know that reviews/feedback are not left often and regularly, then nothing wrong with me. I won’t worry too much about them.

I only have a few products, my best seller has a review percentage of 12% but I have other products which only get 2%. I think that getting reviews depends on the expectations of the customer - if they receive a product that is as they expect they won’t review, and the further it gets to either extreme of better or worse than expected then they are more likely to leave a review.

I guess as well that many buyers are also sellers, who are simply too scared to leave a review/feedback in case it is linked back to the seller who then gets hit with feedback manipulation if the seller happens to sell something similar to you at some stage in the past or history…

I know my mum and daughter are both told under no circumstances to leave a review or feedback for anyone
