Adding postage for N. America on a book
Hi - I normally only list items for sale to UK. I have received a message from a Canadian buyer asking if I could delivery to there and at what price. I’m happy to do that and have re-listed the item and ticked the N America delivery box, but the item is still only showing the UK postage value of £2.80 instead of the N America value. Does the system recognise a Canadian address and charge accordingly? Or how do I make sure that I get paid the Amazon postage for N America? Thanks

It’s unlikely the Amazon postage credit will come near to covering the actual postage, please check the weight and RM website for International Std and Intl tracked to get a better view on cost, also if it’s expensive, you really would need to send it tracked/signed service.
As I’m guessing you can’t set, or change your own postage, the alternative would be to increase the selling price to compensate for the difference between actual postage cost and what Amazon will pay you.
Ps: I believe the shipping rate charged to the buyer for books to Canada is £6.94 which you may not see on the listing as you are in the UK looking at domestic rates on your offer.
