Help Account my account has been suspended. I received the email below this morning. can anyone help me sort this as I dont have a clue.

We recently asked you to update your Legal entity. Your Selling on Amazon payment account has been temporarily deactivated because you did not change it. Your listings have been removed. Funds will not be transferred to you but will stay in your account while we work with you to address this issue.
To reactivate your account, please correct your legal entity type.

We had the same email at 9AM this morning. Did not understand what was wrong and what to mention as root cause in Plan of action. Then contacted seller support and told them there is no option to change any information and its not clear then they updated our account with red areas asking us to change the legal entity from individual to privately owned business if we are LTD company. Made the changed, uploaded all relevant documents they asked, and account reactivated by 12PM and orders back on track.

Are you registered as an “individual” instead of a business? If you have several listings (or quantities of one item) and are selling them as New then you are a business - buying in and selling for profit.
However, check your notifications as Amazon are saying they have previously written to you about it.

Why is this happening?
You incorrectly selected the ‘Individual’ legal entity when you registered. We have explained the different legal entities below.
How do I reactivate my account?
To continue with your account verification, please update your legal entity by following the instructions below.
– Go to the “Account Info” page in the “Settings” section of Seller Central (https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/gp/on-board/configuration/index.html)
– Click “Edit” in the “Business and Contact Information” section and select the relevant legal entity.
– Confirm the business details and click “Submit”.
Use the following information to select the correct legal entity:
– Individual: you must only choose this legal entity if you do not sell for profit. Individual sellers may list unwanted personal items, such as old DVDs or books.
– UK Sole Proprietor: this legal entity is for any commercial individual who sells for profit. A Sole Proprietorship is registered with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC). There is no legal distinction between the owner and the business.
– Business or Partnership: this legal entity includes Sole Proprietors registered in countries outside the UK. It also includes Charities, Partnerships, Private Limited Companies, and Public Companies.
If you think your selling activity fits the ‘Individual’ legal entity, please reply to this email to answer the following questions:
– What is the source of your inventory?
– Who will benefit from the profits of your sales on Amazon?
What happens if I do not send the requested information?

i had this a month ago, they had never asked me anything before, i had to change from sole to self employed, i had to get a unique tax refrence number and i lost 30 days selling before getting reinstated, first thing get a utr from tax office , upload that and a proof of uk address. as they bombard you with useles emails asking same info.i got back on 3 days ago.

Seems I’m not the only one who got deactivated this morning for this reason. I’m so frustrated, why couldn’t they have emailed a notice to update legal entity within 24hrs before being deactivated.
I cannot for the life of me find where to switch from Individual to Sole trader. I contacted seller support who said I can’t change it until my account is reactivated and to submit a plan of action with the root cause being ‘I wasn’t informed about the legal entity needing changed prior to deactivation’ but I haven’t heard anything back.
I know what I need to do, it just won’t let me do it.

Nope, this is a disaster. During lock down Amazon is my only source of income.
All I want is to be able to update my legal entity and provide any required documents but they won’t reply.
