Sometimes Refunds with a Restocking Fee Don't Complete
Has anyone else experienced this before? Its happened a couple of times before to me, usually when i have had to do a 100% restocking fee for a materially different item. We place the refund and it looks like it was completed, but then for some reason it doesn't finish processing at Amazon's end.
The recent example though, i haven't experienced before. I had a return of a coffee machine, value of $2500, the customer didn't return one of the items in the box so we charged a $50 restocking fee. I remember distinctly placing the refund, adding pictures etc and i remember pressing the button because i had reservations due to the customer being a little difficult. Fast forward a week or so and i just got pinged with an AtoZ Claim. I checked the order and it hadn't been refunded. So i've immediately tried to refund it again (in full this time) so that the AtoZ gets closed but i'm probably going to get hit on Account Health now for it.
Really weird.
