Help Close My Seller Account

Good afternoon. I have been trying to close my seller account for several months. My account is inactive. When I log into my account utilizing the seller account central weblink, the first page has a banner stating "INACTIVE ACCOUNT".

I then proceed to the access the settings (upper righthand corner),

- select the option account info,

- select account management

- select close account

- once i click on "CLOSE account" it returns me to the initial login page saying "INACTIVE ACCOUNT"

I continue to receive email notifications regarding products, even though my account has been inactive for several months. Please call me to close this account urgently.

You can't close an inactive or deactivated account. No one will call you. You have to activate it first.

Why is your account deactivated? Post the Performance Notification you received.

If it's deactivated for breaking policy, many of those are difficult, if not impossible, to appeal and you might never be able to reactivate your account. In that case, you may not be able to receive a final disbursement either.

Both of these responses are correct. To close an account, it must be active. I would suggest you go through the same beginning steps:

  • Access the settings (upper right hand corner)
  • Select Account info

There should be information on the next window with possible next steps to reactivate your account. Once that is completed, you can successfully close the account.
