Child listing variations orphaned from parent

Hi this is driving me crazy! I have tried this at least 8 times now and the parent only holds a few children listings the rest all end up on their own

the variation is size / colour - im using the wizard to add them (not batch file)

my variations are like this

small - red

medium - red

large - red

small - blue

med - blue

large - blue

and so on... ive went through all the videos/live chat etc I have other listings with 20+ variations with no issues - amazon are advising me to add a pattern variation! thats not even possible! only allowed 2 variations together any help would be great thanks

Hope you find a resolution to this, it has happened to many of our listings and it's insane. The only thing I can guess (I mean really guess) is it happens more frequently when they have there own images or when a variation runs out of stock.

Go to the parent listings and add the asins in the variations there using the asin number

That does seem weird if you have other similar listing where you can list more!

I take it you're using 'unique' values for the size and colour - i.e. there isn't the same size and colour combinations on any of your items that may make Amazon think they're duplicates and not list them?

It might be something to do with the product type classification. So this month we had several of our ASIN's removed due to inconsistent child variations although these listings have been running for years. After a few phone calls with seller ccentral 1 guy got to the bottom of it and said some asin's apper to be in different classification I think it happens automatically 'gl_product_group_type of gl_home.'

Maybe try to contact seller central email them your affect ASIN's mother and children ASIN's. Hopefully they can correct it for you

Make sure the size, colour, and unit count is correct on the child asins in product details. When i set up mine i sometimes have this, and i have to go in and update, and even if its correct i renter and save and that usually does it.

It's the amazon bots, it happens to my listings all the time, some of them parent listings merge together with other parent listing, child variations coming away from parent listings, images from other listings swapping over, it really is a nightmare. What's really annoying is when the bots do this, it can take me a few days to notice as i have over 500 listings, which is no good when you've got ads running because who's going to buy a t-shirt where the image is totally different to what the title says. I now spend every morning browsing all my t-shirt listings to make sure everything looks ok, a 30 mins wasted every morning which i could do without.

I upload all my listings through excel spreadsheets, the only way ive noticed to sort this issue is to delete the listing wait a few days for the system to sort out then re-upload the excel.

How are you adding the child products? I find the most reliable way is to use the variation wizard. Sometimes if it doesn't work, there will be a report to explain the reason for the variations not working.

sorry I can see you used the wizard, have you thought about using the customisation tool and doing the variations under a single asin?
